Ghosts of our love is one of the early game quests in Hogwarts Legacy which requires players to explore the Forbidden Forest at night.
To complete this quest, players will have to follow the secret map to a location outside the Forbidden Forest during nighttime and use Lumos to find the floating candles there.

Where to Find Map with Floating Candles in Hogwarts Legacy
The way of finding this map varies based on the house you chose when starting the game. Here’s how to get it based on your house:
- Gryffindor – While progressing through the quest ‘Hunt for the Missing Pages’, you’ll be introduced to Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore in the cemetery above Hogsmeade. After talking with him, walk toward the grave just to the right of the crypt entrance and you’ll find it there.
- Slytherin – Complete Scrope’s Last Hope Quest.
- Ravenclaw – At the top of the Owlery at the southwest of Hogwarts.
- Hufflepuff – In a house in upper Hogsfield, just behind Claire Beaumont’s vendor stall.
After finding the map, you’re ready to start and complete the Ghosts of our Love quest. Let’s see how.
How to Complete Ghosts of Our Love in Hogwarts Legacy
During the nighttime, go to the Floo Flame near the Forbidden Forest. Head back towards the main road and at the crossroads, near the bridge, cast Lumos and roam around until the candles appear.
After finding the candles, everything else is fairly simple. All you have to do is follow them into the Forbidden Forest. You won’t have to go deep and there will be no enemies in this area, so just follow the candles and that’s all.
The candles will lead you to a romantic table for two lit with candles all around. Interact with the chest next to it to get 400 coins, XP, and complete this quest.
