Are you looking to find silver ore in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos to get silver and repair your animal barn? Here’s how to get it.

The best way to get silver is by exploring the mines after floor 10. It has a low spawn chance on floor 10 but chances get higher as you go further down.

In this guide, I will showcase where to find silver ore in Harvest Moon TWoA and how to use it to get silver.

Also, silver is a great gift for romancing many characters in the game. For more details, check out our list of all romanceable characters in Winds of Anthos.

To find silver, head to Lectenbury Mine and navigate to floor 10 and below. After reaching floor 10, you’ll have a small chance of finding silver nodes on each floor and this chance will significantly increase as you get deeper in the mines.

Specifically, I found my first silver ore on floor 16 by digging on the small circles shown on the radar while I found the first silver node on floor 20.

Since this will require exploring the mines a lot, make sure you’re prepared with enough food to constantly restore your stamina. Also, since the mines have a lot of valuable items, try and have as much space in your inventory as possible.

Keep in mind that silver has an extremely similar look to iron ore and glass gemstones. It can be easy to confuse them, so make sure to mine anything that looks like it. The deeper you get in the mines, the higher the chances of getting silver instead of iron.

After a few runs on the mines, you should have enough silver ore on you. But what is silver ore used for?

Where to Use Silver Ore

The main use of silver ore is to make silver. Visit Doc’s Lab and you’ll be able to convert one silver ore into one piece of silver at the cost of 15 coins per piece.

Compared to other games, the one-to-one exchange is extremely useful and makes each piece of silver ore you mine even more valuable.

As for using silver, you will need it to repair the barn during a story quest that requires two pieces of silver. Additionally, it’s used for making other items as well and can even fetch a high price when sold, so it’s well worth getting it.

Wrapping up

To summarize, you can get silver ore in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos by exploring floor 10 and below in the Lectenbury Mine.

Then, you can bring it to Doc’s Lab and each silver ore will convert into a piece of silver for the price of 15 coins. Silver is a key resource that is necessary for crafting items and completing quests.
