After chasing Harley Quinn throughout the story in Gotham Knights, players are finally called to face her head-on in Gotham Hospital.
Facing Harley is no easy fight and players will be called to put their skills to the test.
Now more than ever it’s important to level up your main character and set them up with the best build in Gotham Knights.
In this guide, I will explain how to complete the Harley Quinn boss fight and explain her mechanics in all three phases.
Harley Quinn Boss Fight Phase 1 (100-66% HP)
During phase 1, Harley is extremely aggressive and is constantly attacking the player. Similar to boss fights in Elden Ring, dodging is a much better option here compared to blocking.
Use phase 1 to become familiar with Harley’s attack patterns, dodge them, and try to get a few attacks after each dodge.
One of the best tips here, and for this fight overall, is to favor characters with high single-target damage.
For instance, in my guide regarding the best build for Batgirl, I highly recommend using the Beatdown and Elemental Strike momentum abilities, which have significantly high single-target damage.
Some of her most notable moves include the triple bomb throw (throws three bombs in front of her, mid-range), the one-armed hammer thrust (charges and tries to hit with her hammer), and the ground pound (pounds her hammer at the ground and damages everything around her).
Lastly, make sure to stay fairly close to Harley after dodging. Moving too far away will make her use long-range moves, which are much harder to dodge.
Harley Quinn Boss Fight Phase 2 (66-33% HP)
In phase 2, Harley Quinn leaves the arena and players are called to face her goons. After defeating all of them, Harley comes back and the fight continues.
However, now Harley comes equipped with an electrified hammer and has goons spawning around her constantly. The electrified hammer makes her attacks deal more damage, while her five goons respawn if defeated.
To deal with the goons, take down two of them to thin their numbers without having any extra respawn and then focus on Harley.
Now, some of Harley’s attacks have extra chained moves and her windows of invulnerability are even smaller. One tip here is to play around the edges of the arena and try to throw Harley onto the electrified debris.
On the bright side, since she has goons in this phase, Harley won’t use her triple bomb attack.
In this fight, patience is key since players will only have a few chances to damage Harley directly after dodging her combos and without being attacked by her goons.
Harley Quinn Boss Fight Phase 3 (33-0% HP)
For the last phase, players destroy Harley’s mind-controlling device. Now, all of her goons are free to leave and the fight is back to one-on-one.
With goons out of the picture now, Harley will start using her triple bomb attack again.
Harley now chains even larger combos and her hammer remains electrified. While extremely dangerous, at least there are no goons and players can focus on her directly.
Try and dodge her attack combos and look for opportunities to get close. Again, try and knock her towards the electrified debris on the edges of the arena.
Continue dodging and attacking until her health bar reaches zero and a cutscene occurs that signifies the end of this story.
Conclusion
To sum up, this is how to complete the Harley Quinn boss fight in Gotham Knights. Keep an eye on her health bar and in-between cutscenes to understand which phase she’s in.
According to each phase, plan your strategy accordingly and always prioritize dodging over blocking. Try and memorize her attack patterns and deal damage whenever you see an opening.
