Legendary gear is the rarest and strongest type of gear in Gotham Knights. Farming it is no easy process but the reward is definitely worth it.
For all four characters in the game, legendary armor and weapons are the best type of equipment at the moment. For instance, in my recent guide about the best Nightwing build in Gotham Knights, I highly recommend going for legendary armor and weapons.
In this guide, I will explain the best way to farm legendary gear in Gotham Knights and become strong quickly.
When to Farm Legendary Gear
While players can start farming legendary gear from level 30 after finishing the main story, it isn’t the best method. Instead, I highly recommend progressing into New Game+ and finishing the story again.
With New Game+, players are able to reach level 40, which is the current max in Gotham Knights. Only after reaching level 40, you should start farming for legendary gear.
The reason behind this is that any gear dropped at levels 30-39 will stay at that level and won’t upgrade when you reach 40. Thus, if you’re going to farm for legendary gear, make sure to farm for the best and highest-level legendary gear.
How to Farm Legendary Gear
The best way to get legendary gear at the moment in Gotham Knights is by farming Most Wanted missions. Specifically, you want to complete only very hard missions. Make sure to fill your evidence to 12 beforehand and then keep grinding these missions.
Each very hard mission includes a most wanted enemy who drops blueprints and legendary materials. Killing him is the best method for obtaining legendary gear.
For a cheesy method, there’s a more efficient way to do these missions. Kill the most-wanted enemy to get the legendary drops and make sure not to loot the chest.
This way, you won’t complete the mission. After that, go back to the main menu and then rejoin the game.
When rejoining, you’ll realize that most of the enemies have respawned, including the Most Wanted one. Keep repeating this method to get multiple legendary drops. However, keep in mind that you can do this only a few times per mission (around 3 or 4).
When the enemies stop respawning, complete the mission and move on to the next one.
Conclusion
To sum up, this is the best way to farm legendary gear currently in Gotham Knights. Keep grinding most wanted missions on very high difficulty and pray to the RNG gods to get some good drops.
Keep in mind that it’s best to start this method at level 40, where any legendary gear dropped will be at the highest level possible.
