If you’re looking to make the most out of your goblin adventure in Goblin Stone, there are some useful tips and tricks that you must know.
Otherwise, the game doesn’t offer much of a tutorial and it’s easy to miss many aspects of the combat and character-building system.
Let’s go through the best advice to help you get started.
Do Not Recruit Every Goblin You Find

As you progress through the game, you may think that the more goblins you have, the merrier. However, this isn’t the case.
Since there is a limit to how many Goblins you can recruit (the limit is 18 but can be increased later), I recommend being slightly more selective when recruiting new ones.
Prioritize Class Upgrades
When starting out, all your Goblins will be in the Peon class, which is extremely weak and doesn’t offer any benefits.
As you start building guilds, you’ll have the option to upgrade each Goblin and I recommend doing that as soon as possible since it will be a huge power spike.
Don’t Ignore Traits
Goblins have starting genetic traits, and each Goblin you recruit will come with certain traits. Other than selecting non-Peon goblins, you must also make sure to select ones with Traits that fit with the build you’re going for.
For instance, red traits boost the Body stat, while Green ones boost the Spirit. Combine them with the right build and you’ll have extremely strong Goblins.
Warrens Are a Great Way to Get Good Goblins
Once you unlock them, Warrens can be used once a day and are a great way to acquire good Goblins consistently.
Make sure to use them daily since they’ll help strengthen your squad significantly.
Prioritize Base Upgrades
The best way to progress fast in Goblin Stone is by upgrading your base. To make the most out of your Goblins, and start getting better Goblins early, focus on building up your base.
Construct Warrens, build more rooms, and try to improve your base quickly.
Mix and Match Classes
While certain classes can be stronger than others, you shouldn’t have all goblins be of the same class.
Instead, it’s important to include a bit of everything. A Guard or Hunter will work as a frontline tank, while Raiders and Hunters will deal more DPS from the back.

Equipment is More important than Goblins
While having strong Goblins is key, it’s even more important to have strong and upgraded equipment. If you have to choose between a Goblin or an equipment upgrade, always prioritize the latter since they offer more stats overall.
Nevertheless, the most important tip to have fun in Goblin Stone is to explore the game at your own pace. Try out things that seem fun and explore the various mechanics the game has to offer.
