Dredge: Where to Find Cloth

Upgrading your boat in Dredge requires finding Lumber, Metal Scraps, and Bolts of Cloth.

While Lumber and Metal Scraps are fairly common, many players have been struggling to find Cloth. To get Cloth, visit Steel Point just north of Greater and Little Marrow and use the ‘Save and Quit’ feature to make it respawn and get as much as you need.

In this guide, I will explain where to find Cloth in Dredge and how to gather large amounts of it from one single location by using the ‘Save and Quit’ feature.

Where to Find Cloth in Dredge

There are various Cloth spawns around the world, so feel free to check the one that’s easier for you. Here are some of the best locations to check for Cloth in Dredge:

  • West of Greater Marrow
  • West of Little Marrow
  • Steel Point
  • Stellar Basin Island (southwest corner)
  • Gale Cliffs (center and west corner)
  • Charred Pontoon
  • Island south of Charred Pontoon
  • Twisted Strand (south side)

Travel to any of the above locations and you’ll be able to find all the Cloth you need. Of course, the game is made in a way that you’ll get all the necessary Cloth while progressing with the game.

However, these locations are indicated in case you want to fast-track the process of upgrading your boat.

How to Respawn Materials with the ‘Save and Quit’ Feature in Dredge

How to respawn materials with 'Save and Quit' in Dredge.

While each of these locations will include two or three Bolts of Cloth, you don’t have to visit all of them if you want a lot of it.

Instead, you can only visit one location and use the ‘Save and Quit’ feature to quickly respawn materials.

All you need to do is travel to that location, collect any materials you need, return to the closest dock, and enter the pause menu. Then, select ‘Save and Quit’, return to the Main Menu, and select ‘Continue’ to return to your playthrough.

You will then notice that all materials have respawned. The best part is that you can repeat this process as many times as you want.

I recommend visiting the Steel Point location, as it includes two pieces of Lumber, four Metal Scraps, and two Bolts of Cloth. Farm this location multiple times and you’ll be able to max out your boat in no time.

Wrapping up

To summarize, players can get Cloth in Dredge by visiting any of the locations around the map. They can either visit all mentioned locations or use the ‘Save and Quit’ feature to farm one of them multiple times.

What’s the next boat upgrade you’re aiming for? Will you visit all locations or just farm one of them? Let us know in the comments below.
