The Golem is one of the newest characters in Brotato that was introduced during the 1.0 update.
This character focuses on stacking armor and HP to the point where it becomes unkillable. Combined with enough damage, you’ll be able to clear even Difficulty 5 runs while face-tanking most damage.
In this guide, I will showcase the best Golem build for Difficulty 5 in Brotato focusing on the best weapon and upgrades for this character.

To unlock the Golem, players will need to finish a wave with exactly 1 HP remaining.
Best Weapon for Golem in Brotato
Since the Golem focuses on increasing armor and HP, the best weapon for the Golem is the Spiky Shield. This is because the Shield is considered a Medieval Blunt weapon.
Medieval weapons grant armor and Blunt weapons grant Armor and Max HP based on how many of them you have. Thus, stacking six Shields is the way to go.
The result is that you’ll get +3 Armor and 6% Dodge from the Medieval bonuses and +3 Armor, +6 Max HP, and -10% Speed from the Blunt bonuses.
Best Upgrades for Golem in Brotato
Overall, the best upgrades for the Golem involve any items that increase Max HP and Armor. Avoid Melee Damage as it doesn’t work with the Spiky Shield (unless you went for a different weapon) and also avoid any healing items since the Golem can’t heal.
Other great upgrades involve Damage and optionally Luck. Instead of Luck, you can also consider increasing Speed a bit.
However, the Golem shines when below 50% HP, as it gains 40% Attack Speed and 20% Speed. As long as you have enough Armor upon reaching 50% HP, you don’t have to worry about dying.
Best Build for Golem in Brotato
All in all, the best Golem build in Brotato prioritizes Armor and HP upgrades while also getting some extra damage.
Once you fall below 50% HP, you will become extremely powerful and unkillable, even in Difficulty 5. Just make sure to stack as much armor as possible during the early stages of the game.
Wrapping up
To summarize this Golem build guide in Brotato, the best build for this character involves stacking armor and HP while using six Spiky Shields as a weapon.
With enough defensive stacks, you’ll be able to survive any attack with ease and clear Difficulty 5 waves without taking much damage.
