To complete the Web of Madness quest, you will first need to find the Spellweaver in the Spider’s Den. To complete this part, you will need to find Arachna (who is the Spellweaver), defeat her, and also capture her city.
This part will also be completed if someone else defeats her, as long as the city is captured.
If you’re struggling to find her, she will always have a golden quest marker on her head, which makes it easier to find her even when underground.
The second part of the quest requires you to find the Fallen Emperor. The process is similar as you’ll need to follow the golden quest marker.
However, for many players, the quest marker leads to nothing, which is a fairly common bug. Let’s see how to solve it.
How to Solve the “Can’t Find the Fallen Emperor” Bug in Age of Wonders 4
If the golden quest marker leads to nowhere, this is a common bug in the Web of Madness quest.
The Fallen Emperor is the Eternal Court. What causes this bug is that you conquered the Eternal Court too early in the game.
Thus, this bug can be solved by restarting the game and making sure you don’t conquer Eternal Court too early.
This can happen with many quests where the golden quest marker leads to nothing. This occurs because you’ve already killed/conquered the target and you’ll need to replay the session to solve it.
