Is Final Fantasy 7 Intergrade Worth It?

It has only been a few days since the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and most players have already played through the whole episode.

SquareEnix went above and beyond, exceeding the expectations of Final Fantasy fans.

The developers did their best in order to bring the original Yuffie story to the gaming standards of 2021, and 9th generation consoles will give players the opportunity to fully enjoy a game that pushes the capabilities of a console to the limits.

Final Fantasy Goes Back to the Lands of the Wutai

In the 1997 version of Final Fantasy 7, playing Yuffie’s story was more or less optional. Gamers could play through the whole game without having to interact with Yuffie or with the Wutai.

Doing so allowed you to finish the game faster, but on the other hand, you did not get to see the beautifully designed village of the Wutai.

The animations and the landscapes of the Wutai village are very similar to the animations one can see while playing Wu Long.

In FF7 Intergrade, the Wutai village gets a serious upgrade, as every detail has been enhanced to the fullest.

By purchasing the DLC, players will get to control the mysterious ninja princess and take on challenging opponents using Yuffie’s trademark weapon, the shuriken.

Intergrade Brings More Than Just Yuffie to FF7 Remake

FF7 Intergrade may be promoted as Yuffie’s story, but by purchasing the DLC, you will also have the opportunity to summon Ramuh; Final Fantasy’s equivalent to Zeus.

This summon was originally supposed to be accessible from the start, but the developers decided to remove Ramuh in order to make space for more popular summons.

With Intergrade, players will also get to try new limit breaks, use new weapons and to fight enemies like Scarlet.

The DLC installing process is pretty straightforward. The moment the FF7 Remake DLC is downloaded, you will be able to play its contents.

Yuffie’s episode is all about infiltrating Midgar and stealing the ultimate materia. After all, Yuffie Kisaragi claims to be the best thief in Gaia and, for the best thief in Gaia, no treasure is too hard to steal.

Things Are Not Looking Good for the Fans Waiting for FF7 Part 2

It is no secret that over the last year, all kinds of developments have been put on hold. The same applies to the development of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2.

The fans of the game were hoping to get an update regarding the release of FF7 Remake Part 2 during this year’s E3, but it does not seem like this is going to happen.

The studio has definitely done some work on Part 2, and it is highly unlikely that the next FF7 Remake instalment will take as long as it took for Part 1 to be released.

Still, most probably, FF7 Part 2 is going to be available for purchase later than originally planned. If the rumours are true, then Part 2 will take players to the open-world part of Final Fantasy 7.

Leaving Midgar behind means embarking on a long journey all over Gaia. This translates to chocobos, new weapons, new characters and new enemies.

It goes without saying that Square’s developers are doing everything they can in order to release Part 2 in the first semester of 2022.

However, after the hasty release of Cyberpunk 2077, no studio wants to take risks that can jeopardize the developer’s credibility.
