In this tier list, I will showcase the best characters in Tales of Yokai by ranking every character available from best to worst.

Keep in mind that tier lists are primarily subjective; while some characters are overall better than others, some are simply a matter of personal preference. C and D-tier characters can definitely be used but will be more situational.

With this tier list, you’ll be able to find and use the best characters available. While all characters can be used effectively, those in the lower tiers are more situational.
Also, character level and equipment play a big role. Overall, a higher-leveled, D-tier character with good gear will be more useful than an underleveled and undergeared S-tier character.
Lastly, it’s important to play a character whose playstyle you enjoy. There’s no reason to only go for S-tier characters if you don’t like their design at all.
