All Characters in Sea of Stars and How to Unlock Them
There are six playable characters in Sea of Stars and all of them are unlocked by progressing the main story. Let’s examine each character in turn and how to unlock them exactly:
Valere & Zale
Valere and Zale are the two main characters. Therefore, they are unlocked immediately when starting the game and you are called to select one of them to lead the party.
Regardless of your choice, both characters will join the party and you’ll be able to switch between them at any point.
For more details, check out our guide on Zale vs Valere and which one to choose in Sea of Stars.
Garl
Garl is the best friend of Zale and Valere and serves the role of a Warrior Cook unable to use magic.
He is unlocked right after finishing the tutorial and completing the Solstice Warrior training for Zale and Valere.
Garl has the best early-game stats since his ATK and defensive stats are surprisingly high.
Serai
Serai is a portal assassin and the captain of the pirate squad you’ll meet at Brisk. While progressing through the story of Lucent, Serai will join your party temporarily on certain occasions.
At the end of the Lucent story chapter, Serai will be fully unlocked. As a great assassin, Serai shines if you increase her ATK and MP enough.
Resh’an
Resh’an serves the role of the classic mage and has the Immortal Alchemist class.
To unlock and recruit Resh’an in Sea of Stars, progress the story until you visit the Doccarri Village location and progress the story there.
Resh’an is an amazing mage and can deal phenomenal magic damage once you level up his M. ATK and MP.
B’st
The last unlockable character in the game is B’st, the Living Glass Golem. To recruit B’st, visit the Lost One’s Hamlet.
B’st shines as a DPS since he has high physical and magical damage overall.
