Blasphemous 2 Yerma Quest Guide & Choice: Let Her Live or Not

While exploring the dark and vast world of Blasphemous 2, you’ll come across various NPCs. One of the most notable ones is Yerma and her quest guide, where you’ll have to decide whether you should let her live or not.

Overall, progressing Yerma’s questline is important as she’ll reveal a lot about her past while also helping you in some of the game’s hardest boss fights.

In this Yerma quest guide for Blasphemous 2, I will explain all dialogue choices to make so that you’ll have Yerma as your ally when needed. Also, I will showcase how to get the Holy Oil item for the final part of her quest.

Other than progressing side quests, it’s also essential to know how to upgrade health and flasks in Blasphemous 2 if you want to stay alive.

To start and complete the Yerma quest in Blasphemous 2, they will need to interact with Yerma in four different locations and select the right dialogue options.

Let’s examine each meeting’s location and dialogue choices in turn:

Yerma First Meeting – Profundo Lamento

Yerma quest guide in Blasphemous 2 - First meeting.

Your first encounter with Yerma should be in Profundo Lamento, at the bottom right corner.

After defeating or being defeated by the swordsman enemy (and before accessing the Ivy of Ascension room), you’ll meet Yerma who will say that she’ll give you the Steely Battle Lance.

Yerma Second Meeting – Sacred Entombments

The next meeting with Yerma will be at the Sacred Entombments location, again at the bottom right corner, just before the Great Receptor Radames boss.

Yerma will ask you two questions. Answering yes will progress her quest and have her join you during the following boss fight.

Yerma Third Meeting – Beneath Her Sacred Grounds

Yerma quest guide in Blasphemous 2 - Third meeting.

For the third meeting, you’ll find Yerma at the Beneath Her Sacred Grounds area, at the very bottom next to the Prie Dieu.

Answer yes to her question to progress her quest and have her join you during the following Afilaor boss fight.

Before moving on to the fourth meeting, you’ll need to collect the Holy Oil item so that you won’t have to come back for it later. To get the Holy Oil for Yerma in Blasphemous 2, navigate to the Elevated Tempels area and go to the leftmost room.

Drop down two floors and head right. With the Scrions’ Protection Ability, cross the chasm there and you’ll find the item you’re looking for.

Yerma Fourth Meeting – Two Moons

With the Holy Oil obtained, head to the Two Moons for the final meeting with Yerma. She is located next to the door to Svsona, Formasa Fembra boss, and will require finding some Holy Oil.

Since you already have it, answer positively to both her questions and complete the boss fight.

After beating Svsona, Yerma will show up in front of you and reveal her full story. As a reward for completing Yerma’s quest, you’ll get the Zejel of the Cruelest Thorn Prayer and the Chisel-Engraved Wounds Rosary Bead will appear in Casto’s Shop.

If you don’t help Yerma, you will find her dead body in Svsona’s boss room and you’ll be able to loot the Chisel-Engraved Wounds Rosary Bead from her while the Zejel of the Cruelst Thorn Prayer will appear in Casto’s Shop.

Thus, in terms of the best Yerma choice in Blasphemous 2, while the rewards are the same, I highly recommend helping Yerma and letting her live. This way, she will help you tackle some of the most challenging boss fights in the game.

Wrapping up

To sum up this Yerma quest guide, find Yerma in the aforementioned four locations and always answer yes to her questions if you want her to join you in some boss fights.

Completing her quest will award you with the Zejel of the Cruelst Thorn Prayer, which in turn causes the Chisel-Engraved Wounds Bead to appear in Casto’s shop.

What do you think about Yerma’s help? Would you have been able to defeat the bosses without her? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
