Temenos starts with the Cleric job. His only weapon option is the Staff and he can utilize Light magic that heals and deals single-target and AoE damage.

With various healing and buffing skills, including AoE healing and even overhealing an ally past their max HP, Temenos offers great support skills. Additionally, he can deal AoE light damage, which is great for revealing enemy weaknesses.

On top of that, his Latent Power allows him to break enemy shields regardless of weak points.

During the early game, Temenos offers everything you need: healing, buffs, Light AoE attacks, and a way to break any shield.

Castti starts with the Apothecary job. Her only weapon choice is the Axe which has single-target and AoE attacks, while she can also deal Poison and Ice damage.

Her special attribute is the Concoct skill, which gives her access to unique healing and support capabilities. Based on the materials she combines, she can heal, buff, and revive allies, or debuff and damage enemies.

She can even give BP and work as the main buffer for your DPS. Additionally, her EX Skill Drastic Measures can deal amazing damage on a single enemy if she’s applied enough debuffs on the previous turn.

During the late game, where you’ve unlocked various materials and have an abundant supply of them, Castti will be able to do everything you need and more.

Castti vs Temenos – Which is Better in Octopath Traveler 2

Overall, both characters offer amazing healing, buffs, debuffs, and damage. Combined with the best secondary jobs, they can fulfill even more roles.

However, their main difference is based on how they scale during the late game. Temenos offers great early-game heals, buffs, and damage since his spells have a fairly low cost and can affect multiple allies.

However, his healing efficiency falls off during the late game where allies have more max HP.

On the contrary, Castti isn’t as useful during the early game. She doesn’t have many materials to use all her Concoct skills and players don’t have the Leaves to buy everything she needs.

However, during the late game when Castti has access to all the materials needed, and players have the resources to spare for buying more, she is irreplaceable.

Wrapping up

To summarize this Octopath Traveler 2 guide, Castti is better during the late game when players have abundant resources for her Concoct skills, while Temenos is ideal for the early and mid game where his skills can heal allies to max HP easily.
