The world of Hogwarts Legacy is vast and full of side quests and challenges for players to complete. However, with so many quests, players can easily miss a few.
Thankfully, in most cases, players can go back at any point and find any quests they missed. The only issue is that there are a few exceptions to this rule.
There are house-exclusive quests that can only activate if players are in a specific house, as well as season-related sidequests which occur only during certain points of the story. Additionally, some trophies and achievements can be missed during the first playthrough.
If you’re just starting in the game, consider checking out our guide on how to get more healing potions. They will save your life during combat.
In this guide, I will explain if players can miss any quests in Hogwarts Legacy and showcase how to make sure you don’t skip anything.
House-Exclusive Quests in Hogwarts Legacy
First, there are certain house-exclusive quests in the game. For instance, when trying to complete Ghosts of our Love, while the main quest is the same for everyone, the pre-requisite map is found in different locations based on your house.
*Spoiler Alert*
Similarly, another great example is the side-quest that allows players to visit the location of Azkaban. This quest can only be accessed by players in the Hufflepuff house and is named “Prisoner of Love”.
To avoid missing any of these quests, players should replay the game four times, one for each house. Or, they can check these specific quests on YouTube, since there aren’t many of them.
Season-Related Side Quests in Hogwarts Legacy
Additionally, there are a few season-related quests in the game. As you progress through the story, the seasons change from autumn to winter.
Some quests will be available during winter and will disappear when the season changes again.
However, don’t worry about these. After completing the main story, you will be able to access and complete any season/weather-related side quest that you missed.
Missable Trophies and Achievements in Hogwarts Legacy
For those that want to Platinum Hogwarts Legacy by earning all trophies/achievements, certain trophies will be missed during the first playthrough.
These are the house-specific trophies that are awarded when players join a house. There are four trophies in total, one for each housing:
- The Toast of Town (Slytherin)
- The Auror’s Apprentice (Hufflepuff)
- The Gryffindor in the Graveyard (Gryffindor)
- The Wise Owl (Ravenclaw)
Each of these achievements is gained when players visit the Map Chamber for the first time while they are in the required house.
Thankfully, this is fairly early in the game. If you want to have 100% completion on Hogwarts Legacy, you will have to restart four times, one for each house, and progress until you reach the Map Chamber to get all four achievements.
Wrapping up
To summarize, players can miss some quests in Hogwarts Legacy. This involves house-specific quests that require replaying the game, as well as season-related quests that require completing the game if players miss them.
If you’re trying to complete sidequests, consider checking out our quest guide on Gobs of Gobstones. It’s an early-game quest that can be missed if players don’t talk to Zenobia.
