Kilowattrel is the evolution of the pokemon Wattrel. The first stage evolution can be found in the early game around the East Paldean Sea and East Province Area Two.
And today, we’re going to check out the best moveset for Kilowatterl in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
They prefer beach, ocean, and grass biomes in the games so keep an eye out when you are traveling through one of those.
Kilowattrel is a fast Electric/Flying-type pokemon and it can be a great asset to many teams.
In this guide, I will walk you through the best moveset for Kilowattrel in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Best Moveset for Kilowattrel in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Kilowattrel is a fast special attacker that aims to utilize Electric/Flying-type moves due to STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus).
While going through the story of the game, this is the best moveset for Kilowattrel
- Air Slash ( Flying, 75 power, 95 accuracy, learned by TM065 )
- Thunderbolt ( ELectric, 90 power, 100 accuracy, learned by TM126 )
- Roost ( Flying, Health recovery move, learned at level 24)
- Thunder Wave ( Electric, paralyzes opponent, 100 accuracy, learned by TM082 )
Focusing on raw power and sustainability Kilowattrel will decimate the most common types like Water, Grass, and Flying. While at the same type dealing massive damage to pokemon that aren’t immune to those types of moves.
Air Slash has the added bonus of flinching the opponent at a 30% chance, giving you the edge and avoiding damage.
Thunderbolt at a 10% chance can paralyze your opponents leaving their speed in half and allowing slower teammates to come in and move first if they need.
Thunder Wave and Roost exist in the moveset to allow more consistent paralysis and health regeneration while eliminating the Flying-type for a turn negating some of its weaknesses.
As an expert tip, avoid using Roost against Ground-type opponents because removing the Flying-type will eliminate your ground-type immunity and leave you vulnerable.
Best Nature for Kilowattrel in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Kilowattrel is a fast special attacker and the moves I recommended are special moves, so a special-boosting nature would suit it best. A second great option would be a speed-boosting nature.
Your first option should be looking out for a Modest nature (+Special Attack, -Attack). Other Special Attack boosting natures like Mild (+Special Attack, -Defense) or Rash (+Special Attack, -Special Defense) are very serviceable.
If you find yourself losing speed ties, a speed-boosting nature like Timid (+Speed, -Attack) will help augment your speed and make sure you land those important attacks first.
Natures that raise any other stats won’t be that much help, but don’t worry if your Kilowattrel has something different. At Chansey Supply stores you can buy nature mints that will allow you to get the nature you want.
Best Item for Kilowattrel in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
The best item for Kilowattrel by far is the Covert Cloak. It prevents the holder from being affected by secondary effects. That way pesky paralysis or frozen statuses will be avoided completely.
A second great option for an item will be the Focus Sash. This item allows the pokemon to stay alive with 1 HP if it would have otherwise fainted. It’s a great option to allow you a chance to heal when hit by a strong move you were not expecting.
Note, that when you max out the HP of your pokemon, the Focus Sash item will be able to be used again. Giving you more turns to formulate a plan and get out of that sticky situation.
Conclusion
To sum up, that’s everything you need to know about the best moveset, nature, and held items for Kilowattrel in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Not the strongest pokemon introduced in generation 9, but Kilowattel will be a worthy addition to any team. Utilize STAB and its unique strengths and you will have a strong ally by your side.
