While going through the story of the game, this is the best moveset for Kilowattrel
- Air Slash ( Flying, 75 power, 95 accuracy, learned by TM065 )
- Thunderbolt ( ELectric, 90 power, 100 accuracy, learned by TM126 )
- Roost ( Flying, Health recovery move, learned at level 24)
- Thunder Wave ( Electric, paralyzes opponent, 100 accuracy, learned by TM082 )
Focusing on raw power and sustainability Kilowattrel will decimate the most common types like Water, Grass, and Flying. While at the same type dealing massive damage to pokemon that aren’t immune to those types of moves.

Your first option should be looking out for a Modest nature (+Special Attack, -Attack). Other Special Attack boosting natures like Mild (+Special Attack, -Defense) or Rash (+Special Attack, -Special Defense) are very serviceable.
If you find yourself losing speed ties, a speed-boosting nature like Timid (+Speed, -Attack) will help augment your speed and make sure you land those important attacks first.

A second great option for an item will be the Focus Sash. This item allows the pokemon to stay alive with 1 HP if it would have otherwise fainted. It’s a great option to allow you a chance to heal when hit by a strong move you were not expecting.
Note, that when you max out the HP of your pokemon, the Focus Sash item will be able to be used again. Giving you more turns to formulate a plan and get out of that sticky situation.
