During your second week on the farm, Natalia will visit your house with a quest called “Don’t Take the Mines for Granite”.
She will require you to gather certain materials in exchange for her repairing the mines.
Specifically, Natalia needs players to give the following materials to Parker:
- 100 Coins
- 10 Wood
- 5 Stones
After giving those to Parker and waiting for 1 in-game day, the mines will be repaired. Natalia will guide you there and also award you with a free pickaxe.
How to Unlock the Axe in Wylde Flowers
As for the rusty wooden axe, it is unlocked after progressing the main story.
Specifically, after helping Hazel craft 2 mushroom soups, she will task players with cutting some wood.
The quest is called ‘Wood-n’t You Know It?’ and requires cutting down 2 logs and gathering five pieces of wood.
