Mallosweet Leaves are a core ingredient in Hogwarts Legacy and players will need a big stockpile of them since they are key for completing Merlin’s Trials.
Players can get their hands on Mallosweet Leaves by buying them from The Magic Neep, growing them in the Room of Requirement, or finding them in the Herbology class.
If you’re just starting out in Hogwarts Legacy, check out our article on how long it takes to beat based on your playstyle. Since the game is full of side quests, the time can vary significantly based on how much you’re planning to complete.
In this guide, I will explain how to get Mallosweet Leaves in Hogwarts Legacy and showcase where to use them.
How to Get Mallosweet Leaves in Hogwarts Legacy

Players have three ways of obtaining Mallosweet Leaves. The first, and least convenient one, includes gathering them from the pots in the Herbology class.
There are three plants there to help you get your Mallosweet collection going, but they don’t regrow after harvesting.
Thus, if you need more leaves (which you do since there are 95 Merlin’s Trials), you’ll have to turn to the other two methods.
The second method involves buying them directly from The Magic Neep shop in Hogsmeade at the price of 100 coins each. However, the shop has a limited stock of two and players will have to wait for it to restock.
Lastly, the third and most efficient method is buying seeds from The Magic Neep at the price of 200 per seed and growing them in pots within the Room of Requirement.
Mallosweet Leaves can be planted in small pots, take 10 minutes to grow, and yield five leaves per gather.
The best part is that after harvesting them, they will continue to grow. This is what makes buying seeds the most cost-efficient method.
Where to Use Mallosweet Leaves in Hogwarts Legacy
It’s important to note that you’ll need a large supply of Mallosweet Leaves since you need them to unlock Merlin’s Trials.
Specifically, there are 95 Merlin’s Trials in Hogwarts Legacy, and thus you’ll require 95 Mallosweet Leaves. For this case, I recommend setting up multiple small pots in the Room of Requirement and harvesting them whenever you get the chance.
After getting all the Mallosweet Leaves you need, you can remove them and plant any other small plants.
