You can find Implants after getting the Biotech skill by buying or harvesting and repairing them. They have a random drop chance, so keep looting and you’ll find them eventually.

To install Colony Ship implants, interact with a Medical Machine and select ‘Install Implants’. From there, you can see all available Implants in your inventory.

Thankfully, there are many Medical Machines around the map. The easiest one to access for me was in Med Bay, just behind Sarah.

  • Bionic Eye: +1 Perception
  • Neural Uplink: +1 Intelligence
  • Heart: +25 Toxic Resistance, +2 HP regen when below 13HP, +1 Stat Regen

  • Motor Cortex: +1 Dexterity
  • Squad Leader: +4% Accuracy and Easion, +3% Critical Hit Chance, +4 Followers Initiative
  • Subdermal Armor: +1 Natural DR

To make the most out of Implants, you can overclock them by visiting Eli in the Maintenance Deck. While this is fairly expensive (over 2,000 credits per implant), it will make your characters stronger without impacting the actual effects of each module.

However, overclocking implants will have some penalties, depending on the implant. Most often, they will include some HP penalty.

Can you remove implants in Colony Ship?

Unfortunately, you cannot remove implants in Colony Ship. Each implant added is permanent, so make sure to think twice before equipping them.

However, unless you decide to overclock them, implants have no negative effects. The only negative is that you won’t be able to get the achievement that requires finishing the game without installing any implants.
