The Lighter is an optional item that allows players to light torches and burn bodies, both of which are useful while exploring the bunker.
To get the Lighter in Amnesia: The Bunker, players will need to unlock A. Giraud’s locker in the Mission Storage room. The code to this locker can be found in Giraud’s dog tag either in the Maintenance Hallway or in Foreman’s Quarters.

How to Get Lighter Code Dog Tag
There are two potential spawn locations for the A. Giraud dog tag in Amnesia: The Bunker, both of which are towards the Maintenance area of the bunker.
Keep in mind that a different soldier name might appear on your playthrough, but the locations are still the same.
The first is in the Maintenance Hallway, just before you pass the Maintenance door. There will be a body there guarded by rats and the dog tag can spawn there.
If it’s not on the body, keep moving straight toward Maintenance for the second spawn location. Follow the hallway until you see a rat that will trigger a tripwire once you get too close.
Wait for the fire to go out and turn left to find the Foreman’s Quarters room. On the desk, you’ll find Giraud’s dog tag.
Check the back side of the dog tag to find the code you’re looking for.
How to Get the Lighter in Amnesia The Bunker
With the code secured, go back to the Mission Storage room in the Central Bunker.
Navigate to the lockers at the backside of this room and search for Giraud’s locker. Use the code you just got to unlock it and you’ll find the Lighter.
However, if you try to use it, you’ll notice that the light it provides is minimal, to the point where it feels useless. That is because the Lighter’s purpose is not to provide light.
How to Use the Lighter in Amnesia The Bunker
The Lighter’s main purpose in Amnesia: The Bunker is to light things on fire. The best way to use it is to craft and light a torch. To make a torch, combine two pieces of cloth to make a stick, and then combine a third piece of cloth.
Use the Lighter and you’ll have a light source that doesn’t require charging like the flashlight. However, the Torch will run out eventually. The Torch is a great tool for light and to scare off rats in various places of the bunker.
Additionally, you can pour fuel to the ground and use the Lighter to ignite it in case you want to prevent the Beast from chasing you or want to burn a body.
