Special Horses are unique horses in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that can be unlocked throughout the game and will make transportation significantly easier.
There are six Special Horses in TotK and they can be found all around the Hyrule map.
In this guide, I will showcase the location of all Special Horses in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to help you unlock each of them and list their stats.

How to Get All Special Horses in Zelda TotK
Keep in mind that you can’t change the equipment, hair, stats, or anything else on Special Horses.
Without further delay, let’s examine how to get all six Special Horses in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
1. How to Get Epona
To get the Epona horse in TotK, you will need to have the Super Smash Brothers Link or the Twilight Princess Link and scan it. Then, you will be able to register the Epona horse at a stable. Here are its stats:

The Epona horse is the only Special Horse in the game that is Amiibo Exclusive.
2. How to Get The Giant White Stallion
To get the Giant White Stallion, travel to the Lake of the Horse God location in south Hyrule. Simply follow the road and you’ll find it at the end of the path. Here are its stats:

Approach it from the side or front (not from the back), and get ready to spam the L button to Soothe it.
3. How to Get Zelda’s Royal Horse
If you played Zelda: Breath of the Wild and found Zelda’s Royal Horse there, it will be automatically imported and unlocked in Tears of the Kingdom.
Alternatively, to get Zelda’s Royal Horse, travel north of Skull Lake. Here are its stats:

From there, you’ll be able to find it in the middle of a grass field.
4. How to Get Ganon’s Horse
Ganon’s Horse can be gained via import if you caught it in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Alternatively, players can get Ganon’s Horse in TotK by traveling to Hateno Bay. Here are its stats:

It’s a small grassy area and the giant horse can be spotted easily from afar.
5. How to Get Spot
To get the Spot Special Horse, complete “The Incomplete Stable” quest. This is done by placing a plank on the roof of the stable. Then, follow Lester’s next quest, which requires you to find Spot.
In case Lester doesn’t have a quest, you will need to progress the main story.
Spot will be outside the stable, in the nearby grassland and you can easily find him as it will be the only beige horse with spots. Here are its stats:

Lastly, speak with Lester to register the horse and that’s all.
6. How to Get Zelda’s Golden Horse
To get Zelda’s Golden Horse in Tears of the Kingdom, travel to the Snowfield Stable near the South Tabantha Snowfield.
Check the stable and make sure that the middle horse is missing. If it is still there, travel to the Lucky Clover Gazette and begin the Froggy Armor quest.
Then, talk to Harlow near the stable and travel to the North Tabantha Snowfield to find the horse. Here are its stats:

While there is a Frost Gleeok nearby, you can avoid it and go straight towards the golden horse, which will glow from afar and thus will be easy to spot.
