The first step for adding hay to the silo, before even building a silo, is constructing a mill. Visit the carpenter and purchase the mill building, which requires the following items.
- 2,000 coins
- 20 scrap
- 50 wood
- 2 bronze bars
Place the mill anywhere on your farm and wait 1 day until it’s built. Then, you can interact with the mill while holding fiber and it will turn fiber into hay. For now, the hay will stay at the mill, where players can pick it up.
How to Build a Silo and Add Hay
To make things easier now is the time to build a silo. Visit the carpenter again and bring the following items.
- 2,500 coins
- 100 scrap
- 300 stone
- 2 silver bars
Again, place the silo on your farm and wait 1 day until it’s ready. The silo works as a storage unit. To add hay to the silo, all you need to do is add fiber to the mill and wait for it to turn into hay.
As long as you have a silo constructed, any hay made by the mill will automatically be transported to the silo. Then, you can access the hay from any of the animal buildings and feed them directly from there.
How to Get Fiber
