Want to look cool while diving, and swimming around the sea? In this guide, I will go over how to get the mermaid outfit in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
There are many different outfits and many different collections players can get while exploring the different areas.
One of them, and by far the cutest is the Mermaid outfit, consisting of three different pieces.
- Teal Scale Mermaid Tiara
- Teal Scale Mermaid Armour
- Purple Scale Mermaid Tail
Once you collect all three different pieces, you will have collected the whole set.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Deep Diving
To get the Mermaid Outfit collection, you will need to complete two different requirements, in the form of character quests.
The first quest will reward you with the Snorkel.
The Snorkel is used to dive. The player must use the righthand snorkel controller to shift their depth in the water. The player can dive until they run out of stamina. The Snorkel cannot be used in shallow water.
Once reaching friendship level 6 with Kuromi, the player will be asked to dive to retrieve Kuromi’s lost locket.
After they’ll be given the Snorkel Plan by Kuromi, allowing them to craft the Snorkel.
To craft the Snorkel, you’ll need the following items:
- 10 Rubber
- 2 Spark
- 3 Ingot
After finding all of the materials, the player can craft the Snorkel at Chococat’s crafting table, near the Resort Gate in Seaside Resort.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Finding Flippers
The second requirement that will lead you to the Mermaid Outfit collection is the Flippers.
The Flippers allow the player to swim across the water, which offers another way to traverse different locations on the island.
The Flippers in combination with the Snorkel will allow you to dive in the ocean, and get the Mermaid Outfit collection
Let’s go over what you will need to do to get the Flippers.
The player will be given the Flippers Plan by Keroppi once they reach friendship level 2 with him, allowing them to craft the Flippers.
Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. The player will be gifted the Fins by Keroppi, however, players must locate the Strap somewhere on the island.
The Strap is located in the Lilypad Lagoon, on the left side in a chest on a small bridge. The fastest way to get there is by going to where Keropi is, then following the road to the left until you reach a fork.
On the fork turn right, toward the north, and you will find the bridge with the chest and the Strap.
Once you have both the Fins and Strap, you can craft the Flippers at Chococat’s crafting table, near the Resort Gate.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Mermaid Outfit Location
Now that you have both the Flippers and the Snorkel you are ready.
There are three different locations you will need to visit to get the three separate parts of the Mermaid Outfit collection.
To get the Teal Scale Mermaid Tiara, you will need to head west from Hangyodon’s place until you spot two large mossy rocks near each other. The Tiara can be found around the orangish coral in this area.
To get the Teal Scale Mermaid Armour, you will need to head southwest from the Comedy Club until you encounter a teal crab running around. The Mermaid shirt awaits nearby.
To get the Purple Scale Mermaid Tail, you will need to head southeast from the Comedy Club until you reach a coconut tree surrounded by corals underwater. The Mermaid’s tail will be floating in front of the corals.
After collecting the last part of the Mermaid Outfit, you will have the complete collection.
Final Thoughts
With the Mermaid Outfit collected, you can now explore the whole of the Abandoned Island and feel stylish, and beautiful.
