Best Tips & Tricks for Beginners in The Hunter: Call of the Wild
Without further delay, here are the best tips and tricks to help you get started in theHunter: Call of the Wild.
5. Aim your Shots Carefully
While you can take a shot the second you see an animal, the chances of killing it will be fairly low.
It’s essential to get as close as possible (based on your weapon’s and scope’s range) and plan your shot carefully.
Additionally, you always want to aim for an animal’s vital organs. Do not shoot it anywhere, as it probably won’t die.
The vital organs include the brain, heart, lungs, liver, cervical spine, and thoracic spice. As long as you manage to hit any of those with your shot, the animal will go down either immediately, or shortly after.
However, you will get less money if you aim for the head, so I would recommend aiming for the other vital organs.
4. Don’t Chase Every Animal You’ve Shot
If you fail to hit any of the vital organs and the animal runs away with only small bleeding, chasing it isn’t the best idea.
This is because the animal will either die extremely far away (imagine 10-20 minutes of chasing after it) or won’t die at all and the bleeding will stop.
Instead, it’s better to relocate after a bad shot and try to look for another animal.
3. Play Every Map
While you can only access a few maps in single-player mode and the rest are DLCs, there is a way to play every map for free.
Specifically, you can play any map in theHunter: Call of the Wild for free if you join a multiplayer session with that map. You won’t have access to the quests on the map, but you’ll be able to unlock outposts, explore, and hunt any animal there.
It’s easier to spot animals in certain maps and I recommend exploring different maps until you find the one that suits you best.
For beginners, I would recommend trying out the Vurhonga Savanna map first as it’s easier to spot animals there.
2. Don’t Run
Patience is the most important skill to have in this game as animals will get alerted to your presence extremely easily. You should avoid running completely unless you want to unlock an outpost, and always walk or crouch.
Stop often and scout around with the Binoculars to spot any animal. Most times, you don’t need to look for footprints or hear calls but can spot animals from afar as long as you’re attentive to detail.
1. Unlock Skills and Perks
As you manage to hunt your first animals, you’ll earn money and experience. Then, you can use these to unlock various Skills and Perks that will help improve your overall gameplay.
Always take a look at the skills and perks available and upgrade them as often as you can as they offer significant benefits.
Wrapping up
To sum up, these are the five best tips and tricks for beginners in theHunter: Call of the Wild that will help you get started without much trouble.
With these tips, you’ll be able to kill and harvest your first animals to start gaining XP and money.
