New Humble One Special Day Bundle Features Guardians of the Galaxy, Surgeon Simulator and More

humble one special day bundle featured

It is indeed a very special day over at the Humble store as they launch their latest humble bundle, the Humble One Special Day Bundle. Great prices for great games!

The new bundle offers 10 awesome titles for as low as $9, so you’re getting a really sweet deal here. You can get the first four for just $1, so this is indeed a bundle you shouldn’t miss. Check it out here or read on for some extra details.

Here are the details of the titles you’d get based on the tier you choose:

Tier 1: Pay $1 for the next four games:

Streets of Rage (Sega’s classic and equally amazing side scrolling beat’em up)
Crazy Taxi (another of Sega’s classic games that made history)
Binary Domain (Sega’s shooter was released a while ago, but still provides heaps of fun today)
OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood (A game that tests your skateboarding skills to the max. Not my type of game, but that doesn’t matter much).

Tier 2: Pay $6.45 to also unlock:

Surgeon Simulator: Anniversary Edition (one of the funniest games you can ever play, that’s equally challenging too!)
GRID 2 (An iconic game in the series. It hasn’t aged really well, but still worth playing if you haven’t done so when it hit the stores in 2012)
Alpha Protocol (RPG, Stealth and a lot of greatness in this highly underrated classic)
Operation Flashpoint: Red River (Fast paced shooter)

Tier 3: Pay $9 or more to also unlock:

Stronghold Crusader 2 (The RTS game that is responsible for many sleepless nights, be warned!)
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series – an adventure game that really brings this bundle to life, following Telltale’s signature gameplay and multiple choices.

These would be 10 games that you can get for as low as $9. It’s a steal for sure, especially if you don’t have some of these classics in your library. So click here to get yours ASAP.

Yes, these are older games than what we’re used to getting from the Humble Store, but they really follow this bundle’s theme: One Special Day. Because these were indeed special games when they were released and if you haven’t played them, now you have the chance to do so (most likely at maximum visual levels too for the best experience). Enjoy!

The Humble Unity Bundle Is Perfect for Game Developers and Gamers Alike

humble unity bundle

The latest bundle available over at the Humble Store – the Humble Unity Bundle – is here to tickle your pleasure spot if you’re a gamer and wannabe developer at the same time. I say that because it mixes and balanced a nice offering of great games AND a library of resources for game developers.

Even if you get it for the games alone – as I do, since my game development skills are similar to a 3 years old’s sketching abilities, you still have great deal. Awesome games are included in each of the traditional 3 tiers available, as follows:

– If you pay just $1, you get Oxenfree and AER Memories of Old
– If you pay more than the average ($11.41), you also get the amazing Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, The Final Station and Last Day of June.
– Finally, if you are ready to spend $15 or more, you also get two more awesome games: Torment: Tides of Numenera and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.

However, as I told you a bit earlier, you get the real deal here if you’re also a game developer – just starting up or with some experience under your below. That’s because each tier offers a library of resources, content packs and tutorials to help make your life as a games developer a lot easier.

For example, you get Universal Sound FX (over 5,000 sound effects), the Heroic Fantasy Creatures Full Pack Volume 1 (normally costs $349), Inventory Pro, UFPS and uMMORPG for those looking at specific niches, and much more…

You also get the complete course Discover Unity Game Development – From Zero to 12 Games from Zenva academy, normally sold at $600. This will teach you everything you need to know about creating your own games and putting all those packs you get in this bundle to good use.

So, in the end, this is clearly a bundle that’s more suitable for those who are looking to at least give it a go in terms of game development with the Unity engine. But even if you’re looking for some new games, you’re still getting a nice discount if you purchase the top tier bundle.

It’s up for you to decide, but don’t waste too much time thinking as this new Humble Unity Bundle won’t be here forever!

Support Charity With the Humble Rockstar Bundle

la-noire-artwork-02

The newest bundle to hit Humble Bundle’s library is none other than the giant Rockstar Games. That’s right – now’s your chance to grab some Steam keys for classic Rockstar Games for dirt cheap. Plus, you’ll be supporting charity in the process. As always with Humble Bundle, it’s a win-win situation! Head on over to the Humble Bundle website to check it out now.

This bundle will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Rainforest Alliance. Don’t be fooled by the name – the Rainforest Alliance is dedicated to not just environmental challenges but also urgent societal issues like inequity, poverty, and biodiversity loss. Visit the Rainforest Alliance website for more information!

So, let’s get to the actual bundle. The dollar tier will net you the early-to-mid-2000’s era of Rockstar Games: Manhunt, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto III, and Max Payne. If you missed out on these classics, be sure to grab at least this tier as you’ll get to take a nice trip down memory lane. These games pinpoint the time when Rockstar was really making a name for itself, so they’re important pieces of history.

If you beat-the-average (which is currently sitting around $9.50), you’ll also get Steam keys of Bully: Scholarship Edition, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, L.A. Noire, and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. This tier’s games vary a little more on the eras, as you’ll be getting L.A. Noire which came out in 2011, but San Andreas came out around 2005.

For the final tier, you’ll need to pay $15 or more. This tier nets you all of L.A. Noire’s DLC, Grand Theft Auto IVGrand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, and Max Payne 3. This tier features recent games from Rockstar.

And yes, unfortunately Grand Theft Auto V is nowhere to be seen here, which we’re sure many of you were hoping for. Still though, this is a great bundle if you’re a fan of Rockstar’s games. Be sure not to miss it – the bundle will be around for 13 more days.

Grab The Red Solstice For Free From Humble Bundle

The-Red-Solstice

The Red Solstice, a sci-fi real-time strategy game is free for a limited time from Humble Bundle. You can head on over to the game page here to get a free key that you can redeem on Steam.

Set in the distant future on Mars, The Red Solstice is a tactical, squad-based strategy game. Command a group of marines as you fight to take back Mars from martian horrors. With an extensive single-player campaign with a terrifying story and a co-op mode with up to eight players, The Red Solstice offers everything for anyone!

This may be an obscure reference but a typical level in The Red Solstice plays out like a custom campaign in Blizzard’s Warcraft III. If you’re familiar with the popular custom open RPG maps, you’ll know what to expect in The Red Solstice. You’ll issue orders and waypoints through a top-down view. Plan out your attacks accordingly and position your squad carefully lest you fall prey to the alien hordes.

Your squad consists of four marines that can be upgraded as they gain experience. Your marines will be able to specialize in certain techniques, like healing allies, deploying defensive auto-turrets, launching explosives, and more. Try out the single-player campaign, and when you’ve had your fill of the space terror story, grab some friends and take on one of the challenge missions! Work together or go down trying!

Just be quick though – these keys must be redeemed on Steam before the end of the month. Even if you have the game in your Humble Bundle library, the keys will expire at the end of January so redeem them as soon as possible!
