The Steam 2017 Winter Sale is now Live

The final biggest PC sale of the year has finally come! Yup, it’s that time to crack open your wallets and watch your money fly away because the Steam Winter Sale has officially started today!

Following up on the Steam Awards nominees event a couple months, the finalists have been chosen. Now, every day from today to January 4, you’ll be able to cast your vote on the category for the day. Today’s award is the “Choices Matter” award. The finalists all had some kind of choice mechanic and were usually story heavy. The finalists include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dishonored 2, Divinity Original Sin II, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Cast your vote and you’ll automatically receive a random card from the new Winter Sale 2017 badge set!

Speaking of badges, you can receive up to three free cards from going through a full set of games from your Discovery Queue. Be sure to do that even if you’re not interested in crafting the badge, as many other Steam users are! You can sell your extra cards on the Steam Market to scrounge up some pocket change that can go towards your next purchase.

Some of the highlighted deals today include Tekken 7 ($24.99), Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice ($22.49), Prey ($19.99), Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege ($8.99), Middle-earth: Shadow of War ($41.99), Vanquish ($9.99), and Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite ($35.99). Remember, this is just the first day so many other games will be highlighted on the following days, alerting you to games you may have forgotten about! Keep an eye on your wishlist as well, as pretty much every single game right now has some discount or another.

If you want to be REALLY thorough, visit to get the low-down on a game’s pricing history. You can check to see if the game is being offered at an even better price somewhere else, or if it’s been the cheapest it has ever been.

Happy Holidays! We hope you can snag the game you’ve been eyeing for a while!
