Honkai Star Rail: How to Unlock the Battle Pass

Honkai: Star Rail features a Battle Pass system with a free and premium track filled with solid rewards.

However, this system isn’t unlocked from the get-go and players will need to progress up to a certain point before being able to access it.

The Battle Pass in Honkai Star Rail is unlocked after reaching Trailblaze Level 13 and completing the mission “Long Wait for the Blade’s Edge”.

In this guide, I will explain how to unlock the Battle Pass and showcase if it’s worth purchasing.

To unlock the Battle Pass in Honkai: Star Rail, players will need to fulfill two requirements:

  • Progress the Main Story until they complete the mission “Long Wait for the Blade’s Edge” in Jarilo-VI.
  • Reach Trailblaze Level 13.

Both of those are fairly easy and can be achieved a few hours after starting the game for the first time.

When both requirements are completed, players will unlock the Battle Pass, which is called Nameless Honor.

How Does the Battle Pass Work in Honkai Star Rail?

How to level up the battle pass in Honkai Star Rail.

The Battle Pass system is fairly simple in Honkai: Star Rail. Players can complete three types of challenges:

  • Today’s Missions (Daily) – Easy tasks that encourage players to log in daily
  • This Week’s Missions (Weekly) – Harder tasks that take multiple days to complete and reset every Monday
  • This Period’s Missions (Event/Unique) – Event-specific missions that award the most XP and reset only when the Battle Pass is over.

Keep in mind that the Battle Pass lasts for 40 days in Honkai: Star Rail and has 50 levels, each with a free and premium reward.

The free reward in the Battle Pass (Nameless Medal) is easy to progress as long as you log in daily. The rewards are extremely useful as they include level-up materials for characters, Light Cones, and Relics.

The premium reward track (Nameless Glory) is also very rewarding as it gives even more of these important materials. It costs $10 to upgrade and can be purchased at any point.

Also, at level 30, the premium reward allows you to select one 4-star Light Cone of your choosing and the options available are all worth it.

Personally, I recommend leveling up the free track and purchasing the premium one once you complete the Battle Pass. This way, you won’t risk getting the premium version and not finishing it.

Additionally, there’s no XP bonus for purchasing the premium version early on, which is why I recommend waiting before purchasing it.

Wrapping up

To summarize, players can unlock the Battle Pass in Honkai Star Rail after reaching Trailblaze level 13 and completing the mission “Long Wait for the Blade’s Edge”.

Both the free and premium reward tracks are extremely rewarding and I recommend upgrading to the premium one if you can afford it.
