High on Life: How to Equip Mods? [Full guide]

High on Life’s core gameplay revolves around unlocking new weapons and using these to solve puzzles and defeat bosses.

An essential part of this process that makes everything more manageable is to upgrade your weapons by equipping mods on them.

How to Get Mods in High on Life

Buying the reload tract mod in High on Life.

Getting mods in the game is a straightforward process. Specifically, there are three places where players can get mods.

Mr. Keeps Pawn Shop
Port Terrene Store
Luglox Boxes

While the mods found in Luglox boxes are free, the other two locations will require you to spend a substantial amount of pesos for each mod.

As for their locations, Mr. Keeps’ shop can be found in the Downtown area of Blim City. The prices there range from 800 pesos up to 1600 for one mod.

Port Terrene has two stores that sell mods. The first, Dreg Town Pawn, is located just right of the staircase before Maintenance Station B.

The second store, Big Deal Emporium, is next to the Dreg town elevator.

How to Equip Mods in High on Life

Now that you’ve bought or found some new mods, it’s time to see how to equip them. Here’s everything you need to do.

Open the Inventory tab
Navigate to the Mods option
Find the weapon you want to upgrade
Equip your newly purchased mod from the list below

And that’s all. If done properly, you’ll notice a checkmark next to the mod and your weapon will switch color.

Kenny Mods and Upgrades

Bouncereflector Mod – Primary shots bounce off airborne enemies, Mr. Keeps, 600 pesos.
Multiglob Mod – Increases Glob Shot AoE, Dreg Town, 500 pesos.
Reload Tract – Quicker reload, Mr. Keeps, 1.000 pesos.
Ammo Sac – Increased ammo capacity, Mr. Keeps, 800 pesos.
Glob Kidney – Reduced cooldown on Glob Shot, Mr. Keeps, 500 pesos.
Muscle Implant – Increased damage, Dreg Town Pawn, 1.500 pesos.

Knifey Mods and Upgrades

Stagger – Attacks cause stagger, Big Deal Emporium, 1.000 pesos

Gus Mods and Upgrades

Goopstuck Mod – Ability removes armor from G3 enemies, Mr. Keeps, 1.500 Pesos
Burst Section Mod – Ability pulls multiple enemies, Luxglox in The Slums
Flak Mod – Increases damage of primary fire, Luglox in the Jungle Clearing in Zephyr Paradise
Reload Tract – Quicker reload, Mr. Keeps, 1.500 pesos.
Ammo Sac – Increased ammo capacity, Mr. Keeps, 1,200 pesos.
Discbladder – Reduces disc cooldown, Mr. Keeps, 800 pesos

Sweezy Mods and Upgrades

Remote Detonator Mod – Detonates crystals stuck in enemies while reloading for double damage, Mr. Keeps, 1.500 pesos
Summoning Portal Mod – Reduces charged shot charge time, Luglox in Lower Mining Tunnels in Zephyr Paradise.
Reload Tract – Quicker reload, Mr. Keeps, 1.000 pesos.
Ammo Sac – Increased ammo capacity, Mr. Keeps, 1.000 pesos.
Chronoliver – Shorters cooldown of time bubbles, Mr. Keeps, 800 pesos.

Creature Mods and Upgrades

Heartsap Mod – When its children kill an enemy, they give you extra health, Mr. Keeps, 1.600 pesos
Postpartum Psycheboost – Reduces ability cooldown, Mr. Keeps, 800 pesos
Womb Chamber – Primary attack fires an extra child, Mr. Keeps, 1.200 pesos
