FFXIV 6.2 Guide: Quest List (and Their Locations)

The FFXIV 6.2 patch update comes with a plethora of new additions to the game, which includes new emotes, a whole new mode and of course, the most exciting, Main Scenario Quests (MSQ).

In this article, we’ll take a look at the Quests added in the new patch update and to make things easier for you, I’ll also be adding the locations where you can find them.

The Main Scenario Quests are the best part about the FFXIV 6.2 update since it deals with the actual storyline of the game, which is captivating and thrilling on its own.

Buried Memory has not disappointed the fans and the MSQs of the game are the proof. And now, it’s time for us to look into these exciting quests!

FFXIV 6.2 Quest List

The 6.2 patch update of Final Fantasy 14 comes with a total of nine different quests spread around the map.

In Search of Azdaja

The first MSQ named “In Search of Azdaja” is found at the coordinates of X: 4.4 and Y: 9.8. The area is known as Radz-at-Han and you’ll meet the NPC, Varshahn, to start off this quest.

It’s important to note that you must have the quest “A Satrap’s Duty” from the previous patch completed properly, since it’s all part of the story.

Shadowed Remnants

The next quest on the list is “Shadowed Remnants”. This NPC of this MSQ is Varshahn, again.

Shadowed Remnants is a Level 90 quest and its location is the Fell Court of Troia, which is located in the Void. The coordinates are X: 10, Y: 10.

Make sure you don’t wander off of the Void while completing the Quest, but just in case you do, we are here to help you get yourself back into the Void!

Where Everything Begins

The third MSQ in the 6.2 patch update is “Where Everything Begins”.

Similar to “Shadowed Remnants”, this is also located in the Fell Court of Troia. But, this time the location coordinates are different – X: 11.8, Y: 11.8.

You’ll also meet a new Quest giver, named Dark-robed Voidsent. Other than the objectives, the mission also involves speaking to Varshahn and two more NPCs, who make an appearance in the quests to come.

Groping in the Dark

We move on to the location coordinates X: 14 and Y: 7 to purse the next quest, “Groping in the Dark”.

This MSQ takes place in the Fell Court of Troia as well, but you’ll interact with yet another NPC called Estinien, who makes it feel like he’s looking right through your soul!

Nowhere to Run

Finally moving out of the Fell Court of Troia but still inside the Void, the fifth MSQ “Nowhere to Run” takes place in the location coordinates X: 5 and Y: 7.

NPC Zero
NPC Zero

The location is known as Zero’s Domain, named after the main NPC of this mission, Zero. You have already interacted with Zero before while completing the “Where Everything Begins” missions.

The Wind Rises

The quest with one of the highest Gil requirements is “The Wind Rises”. It takes place in the Void too, in a different area of Zero’s Domain.

The location is precisely X: 5.8 and Y: 4.7. Zero will direct you in this quest again. The Wind Rises is where you face Storm Crown’s boss Barbariccia.

Return from the Void

Unlike what the name of the MSQ suggests, the quest will still be taking place in Zero’s Domain, inside the Void.

The location coordinates is exactly the same as where you completed “Nowhere to Run” – X: 5, Y: 7. However, this time Varshahn will be the one giving you the quest, instead of Zero.

A World with Light and Life

“A World with Light and Life” will finally be taking you out of the Void. The location of the MSQ is in the Meghaduta Guest Chambers, with coordinates X: 4 and Y: 4.

NPC Y'shtola

While the leading NPC of the quest is Y’shtola, you’ll be making conversation with several other NPCs, such as Mehryde, Mihleel, and Varshahn.

Buried Memory

“Buried Memory” is the very last quest of the new patch takes you back to where you started, Radz-at-Han.

Although you’ll be at a different area of Radz-at-Han, with coordinates of X: 8 and Y: 13, the quest giver will be Varshahn again, just like in “Search of Azdaja”.

Shadowed Pasts

While it’s not part of the main quest and storyline of the game, “Shadowed Pasts” is more of a side quest that refers to the Tales of the Newfound Adventure side quests.

You’ll have to do this additional quest in the coordinates of X: 4.8 and Y: 11.9, which is in Radz-at-Han. You’ll have to deal with the NPC Radiant Scout to complete this quest.

Wrapping Up

These are all the Main Scenario Quests that were added to the new 6.2 patch update of FFXIV. Each of these quests come with more exciting content than the other and involve epic boss fights as well.

The progression of the story itself is truly compelling and keeps you hooked into the game. This new patch has well and truly enhanced the Final Fantasy 14 experience and I’m looking forward to more of this.
