Crossplay allows you to expand the pool of fellow survivors or enemy killers that you’ll encounter in the Fog.
Thankfully, Dead by Daylight has crossplay available, but players will need to enable it from the Settings first.

In this guide, I will showcase that Dead by Daylight has crossplay and explain how to activate it from the menu.
Crossplay in Dead by Daylight
Dead by Daylight is currently available on a wide variety of platforms. Specifically, here are all of them.
- PC
- PlayStation 4 & 5
- Xbox One
- Nintendo Switch
- Android
- iOS
- Stadia
- Xbox Series X/S
Thankfully, crossplay is available in the game and players can play with anyone, regardless of their platform of choice. If I’m playing on PC and want to party up with someone who plays on PlayStation or Switch, that’s totally possible.
The only exception is players on Android and iOS. While they can play with each other, they are unable to join players from other platforms such as PC or Xbox.
The only thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to activate crossplay from the in-game settings first. Here’s how to do that.
- Launch Dead by Daylight and select options from the bottom right corner.
- Navigate to the Online tab
- Find Crossplay and toggle it On.
And that’s all. Now players from other platforms can join your party. In addition, while matchmaking with random players, there’s a good chance for them to be playing from platforms different than yours.
Cross-Progression in Dead by Daylight
At the moment, the only form of cross-progression in Dead by Daylight is linking your Google Stadia account to either Steam or Epic Games.
This is because Google Stadia is shutting down on January 18, 2023, and players will be unable to access their Dead by Daylight account on Google Stadia from that date.

As for other platforms, at the moment there is no official announcement on any plans for cross-progression.
How to Link Google Stadia with Steam/Epic Games
To link your Stadia account with either Steam or Epic Games, you’ll need to follow these steps.
- Create a Behaviour Account – Visit the official site and create your account.
- Navigate to the My Account tab and link the platforms of your choice.
And that’s it. It’s fairly straightforward and takes only a few minutes to complete.
Wrapping up
To sum up, that’s everything you need to know on if Dead by Daylight has crossplay or cross-progression.
The short answer is that there is crossplay for all platforms except mobile, and cross-progression is only available for connecting Google Stadia with Steam or Epic Games.
