Fabric and Cotton are late-game materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley that are essential for progressing the game.
Since some quests require a vast amount of fabric and cotton, learning how to get them will make your life significantly easier. Especially if you start gathering them before you get the quests.
In this guide, I’ll go through how to get fabric and cotton, where to farm and craft them, and everything you should know about them.
How to Get Coton
Cotton can be found in two ways in Disney Dreamlight Valley, both of which are within the Sunlit Plateau biome. Check out our in-depth Sunlit Plateau guide for more details.
First, it can be gathered from the ground. While it’s rare, and its respawn time is fairly long, players can find some cotton lying on the ground. However, this isn’t very efficient.
The second and significantly more consistent method is farming, Players can purchase cotton seeds from the first upgrade of Goofy’s stand in Sunlit Plateau.
The first upgrade in Goofy’s stand costs 3.000 coins while unlocking the Sunlit Plateau costs 7.000 dreamlight.
Cotton Seeds cost 42 star coins per seed and grow in 25 minutes without needing to be watered twice.
How to Get Fabric
While fabric is easy to get, it will take time. That’s because fabric can’t be farmed but can only be crafted. The recipe for crafting fabric is the following:
- 1 Fabric for 5 Cotton
While simple, gathering 5 pieces of cotton is far from easy. Easy cotton seed only yields 1 cotton, which means you will need a fair amount of seeds.
Especially since some of the late-game quests require 5 or 10 pieces of fabric. This equals 25 or 50 cotton seeds overall.
As long as you have the cotton farmed, visit a crafting bench and craft as many pieces of fabric as you can.
Why Do You Need Fabric and Cotton
Fabric and Coton have two main uses. The first is for quests. Fabric is an essential part for progressing some quests since NPCs will request it.
In addition, fabric is a key component for crafting furniture. As long as you craft one piece of fabric, you’ll unlock all the furniture recipes that include it; and there are plenty of them.
For players interested in decorating their house and village, cotton farming is going to be a key part of the process.
And that’s all. Cotton seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s stand at the Sunlit Plateau, right after repairing it.
Fabric can be crafted from cotton, with 1 piece of fabric requiring 5 pieces of cotton.
These materials are essential for some of the late-game quests, while also unlocking many great pieces of furniture.
