The Slimline Pro Optic in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a fan-favorite when it comes to Red Dot Sight weapon attachments, but it’s also one of the locked attachments in the game!
Moreover, unlike the case for other locked attachments, this attachment doesn’t come with any instructions to unlock it either.

How to Unlock Slimline PRO Optic in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?
Currently, there’s no way to unlock Slimline Pro Optic in the game. But, you just need to be patient for a few days more!
Season 1 of Call of Duty MW2 (2022) kicks off on the 16th of November, 2022, and that’s when the unlock instructions of the Slimline Pro Red Dot Sight will be available along with Tier 1 and Hardcore playlists.
It’s assumed that the optic is part of the new weapons that will be introduced at the launch of the new season.
However, if this is a bug in the game, like the mid-game crashing issue, Activision will add it in the upcoming patch updates before the start of Season 1. It wasn’t mentioned in any of their tweets, though.
There are a few locked attachments in the game and almost all of them come with instructions to unlock as well. For example, it’s stated in the game that the SZ Mini optic can be unlocked by taking Lachmann Sub to Level 11.
The same can’t be said for the Slimline Prop Optic, though, as there’s no additional information given for this optic.
Nevertheless, you’ll notice that the attachment is available in the Campaign mode and is used in weapons as well. You’ll also be able to access it in private servers; but, it’s not unlockable yet for the Multiplayer and other modes.
But, what about the Slimline Pro Optic that you have seen on opponents in Multiplayer modes?
I can assure you that those are not the Slimline Pro Optic but another unlocked or unlockable Red Dot sight attachment in the game.
These sights have a lot of similarities among them and sometimes, identifying them can be confusing!
The new progression system for levelling up weapons and unlocking various attachments have become more complex compared to the previous Call of Duty games.
While it may be good in the long run, the intense grinding required can be frustrating for a lot of players.

Slimline Pro Optic Red Dot Sight is one of the best weapon sight attachments in Call of Duty MW2.
The mere fact that it needs to be unlocked and isn’t available at launch is pretty inconvenient, which is worsened by the difficult progression system.
However, this also makes obtaining this brilliant optic worth the grind! For now, just sit back and wait for Season 1 to kick in, and we’ll all be able to finally use this beloved attachment.
