Mix O’ Stuff
Got a couple things to go over….so grab that coffee and muffin.
First and foremost…DING 70 in EQ2. My plans for world domination are almost complete. I’m still having a blast in that game and it shows by my complete and total determination to get as close to 80 as I can before the next expansion comes out. I know this might be a bit of a lofty goal, but I think I can get to 75 which puts me into the raiding kids club
Bit of Eve news. Yes, I am back in Eve Online. I decided that I needed to scratch that itch again and my request for Brent to smack me for wanting to play again did not have its desired effect. I have a totally new goal for my Eve Online adventures right now. First goal is to start flying other ships besides Caldari…and I’ve chosen Amarr. So, as we speak I am training up my gun, armor and Amarr space ship command skills in order to make that happen. I must say, Amarr ships look very sexy. On the Eve news front, this just hit the presses during the past weekend:
The star feature of Tech 3 will be modular, customisable ships. Instead of providing each faction with one or two new ships each, CCP will provide each with a template that comes in five sections, with five options in each. That’s a total of 25 possible basic ships for each faction, with many more thousands of smaller modifications possible (7776 permutations possible, to be exact.)
Wow. Sounds like you’ll be able to pretty much design your own ships to some extend. Good stuff.
Following up on the Brandon Crisp story from last week. It looks like the XBox didn’t kill the boy. From the reports I read over the weekend, he may have died due to injuries sustained from falling from a tree. I’m still of the very strong opinion that the XBox is a convenient excuse for a couple of parents who did not manage their son’s obsession (…not addiction…), and following anger correctly. It’s easier to point to a “thing” for your failings than the real issue at hand. Tragic set of events that didn’t need to end with a boy dying….but if it wasn’t an argument about a game, it would have been about something else.
D out.
