Yes…WAR is gold, which means they are “done”. I say “done”, because they’re really not
I’m looking forward to launch day and playing hours upon hours with that unstoppable WAR fanboi Brent.
/runs and hides
They have a couple weeks to iron out all of the rough edges and I wish them the best of luck on launch day.
D out.

Yes, we know what it means to go “gold” with an MMO. They reached a cut off point for CD production and they’ll patch the rest when we try to log on for the first time.

I thought this was the common sense gamer not the Sarcastic Gamer? I’m not very happy either. This means one of two things. Either they have fixed a lot of issues that happened during the Preview weekend or they plan to release a patch at launch. I’m not fond of having to download a patch once I get something as large as an MMO installed, but if it fixed problems I saw during Preview then I’ll be ok with it. I just want them to make sure they did all the could before going gold.
Because to cheap out and do a patch at release when they should have a “solid gold” product on the pressed disc is kind of lame.
Sorry, but I really want this game to work well out the gate and I’m not reeling with confidence on that announcement.

Of course there will be a patch at release. What massive online game has ever been released that didn’t require a patch? Beta isn’t even over yet. Jacobs post earlier today even said that: “While we are better off than we were in beta, we must do better still before release.”

So am I to understand that The Miracle Patch (TM) will be making an appearance before launch?
Miracle Patch (TM). “It works…sorta.”
