Chasing my tail

I feel like I’ve got absolutely nothing done in the last week or so…gaming wise anyway (electric guitar playing is going swimmingly btw). It’s not from an absence of games, just the opposite. Here’s what I got on my plate right now:

- Half-life 2: Episode 1 (about half way through)
- Half-life 2: Episode 2
- Portal (…drooool…at level 11)
- TF2
- World in Conflict
- World of Warcraft
- Vanguard
- Hellgate: London Beta (…ummm, am I suppose to say that?)

Too…many…games….can’t….arrrrgh…

It’s a good problem to have, but man I feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of gaming goodness that has hit us over the past month or so. It’s insane.

It?s funny how nothing seems to be happening in the MMO world and the PC single player and shooter/multiplayer/strategy games have suddenly caught fire for some reason. As MMO players, we should have had lots to talk about this year besides cancellations and delays.

P.S Usually when I say something like “there is nothing to talk about in MMOs”, thats usually followed by a post about something to talk about in MMOs. Wait for it…. :)

    Yes, you can say you’re in the HG:L beta, but not much more. :) You can however talk about the single-player demo for it all you want if you tried it.

    And, FYI Mythos which I sent you an invite to is not under NDA, feel free to rant on it too.

    This is why I don’t play anything but WoW anymore ha ha!

    it saves me money. Well ok I admit I play the Xbox but I havent bought anything for it since Madden.

    Oh yeah and I have been playing Mythos Beta, glad you brought that up I need to download the newest update. I still like Dungeon Runners a little better though

    he he you could always start a debate on wether or not fury, hellgate london should be considered MMO’s or not … that would keep your board busy and you would have more time to piddle about with your games …

    PV, if you download the new Mythos client and still thing DR is better I will seriously doubt your sanity… I’m just sayin’. :D

    Yup I’m currently in MMO limbo. I’ve had subscriptions to WoW, DDO and SOE’s All Access Pass… this month. :)

    I’ve cancelled DDO, I just couldn’t do it.

    I cancelled WoW, but will likely resub when the remaining time runs out. I discovered the Red Haired Giant is playing it again and he twisted my rubber arm to play on Mannoroth with him and some others. I’ll be creating a Tauren Shaman tonight.

    I have All Access for EQ2 and VG. VG isn’t going to last me much longer. I’m almost max level, not really interested in raiding and I don’t see any expansions coming anytime soon. I’m just about done with what I want to do in that game. EQ2 has an expansion coming out and I’m preparing to play it when it comes out. I’ll likely create a Sarnak Necromancer on AB with a friend. I’ve actually done some crafting in it recently… yeah, I crafted stuff. That’s a couple of weeks away though so I’ll likely be done with VG by the time it is available.

    Yeah, really not much going on in MMOs. EQ2 expansion coming. WoW expansion coming way later. AoC delayed. WAR is ? PotBS is delayed.

    I’ve got too many games on my plate now, and it’s only going to get worse in the coming months. I finally went up to Gamestop the other day and preordered Mass Effect and Assassin’s Creed. Those two alone will swallow up any free time I have in November and December. Call of Duty 4 and a few other games might have to wait.

    … which could work out well. Maybe I can spread out all the great games so that there are no dry spells early next year.

    Don’t really play any non-MMOG games – City of Heroes/Villains still going strong and a bit of play in Tabula Rasa beta, waiting for the release. Nothing else that really interests me at the moment. I actaully resubscribed to Anarchy Online (for the nth time), but have not played much though.

    Jeez, I gotta remember to go preorder Assassins Creed tonight, thanks for the reminder Aaron. I think the first thing I am going to do when I get that game is climb to the highest point I can find and jump off – not into a crate of hay.
