Hmmmm….
Been thinking about this for some time now. Bottom line…I’m running out of things to say when it comes to MMOs and gaming in general. I have been noticing that my posts just aren’t were they need to be for me right now, so I need to take a step back in order to figure out how to move forward with the blog.
Really….I haven’t given myself a break from TCSG for three years and I guess I’m due.
What will I be doing? I think I do something other than just talking about games…Unity looks good. Why the heck not eh. Fall on my ass trying? Probably…it’s happend before and I expect false starts until successful. Maybe take up blogging about bowling or skinning cats…or blogging about bowling skinned cats…..hmmmmm.
So…TCSG will be shutting down for a little while while I start putting plans into motion without distractions.
/grabs box of kittens
But Darren…what about SUWT? SUWT will continue for this year and, depending on the results of the next 3-4 months it might see up to show 100. SUWT is a different animal and I was honestly thinking of putting it in the same category as the blog…but it really isn’t. So, SUWT will carry on for the remainder of the year at least but I’ll be revisiting that decision in the new year…along with the decision to close this blog.
Need a rest for just a bit folks in order to seriously look into bowling with those skinned cats
D out and about….

I’ve been blogging for seven years in one form or another, and highly endorse the notion of taking periodic breaks.
Enjoy your time away!

Hey, that’s something.

Be honest…It was the $10 horse in Wizard 101, wasn’t it? That was the final straw, right?
Be well. Hope you enjoy your break.

Quitter!
Seriously… You’ve been at it a long time, and you’ve been very productive. You’re allowed to rest a while, or just diminish in the west.
Thanks for all the insights, all the laughs and all the dedication to the genre. CYA KTHX

What? Who will go berserk when I start writing about the cost of things in the DDO item shop?

Thanks for all the fish!

I’m sorry to see this but I definitely understand. It’s hard to blog when you’re lacking the motivation. Hopefully a break will refresh you and we’ll see you back sometime. Or, at least SUWT continuing. Take care, Darren. Thanks for all the effort and support you’ve given the community.

Your blog and SUWT have given me some good leads on gaming for myself–thanks for all the fish! Hope to see you in game again soon..

Take Care!

I’m sorry to hear you’re burnt out on talking about MMOs! You do such a great job at it.
That said, taking some time off to focus on other things is always wise. When our hobbies becomes our jobs it burns us out. I occasionally have to deviate on my subjects on Epic Slant just so I can enjoy it still.
Besides, you can always come back when you like! Take care and get some rest! I’ll look forward to listening to more shows.
PS: Perhaps you could discuss your love of wine?

I’ve highly enjoyed reading your blog. Enjoy your break!
October 27th, 2009 at 2:09 am
Here’s hoping we see you back.
Mean-time, my partner and I are both regulars for SUWT and we’ll look forward to the ongoing podcasts!
Enjoy your break.

All the “Old Timers” are giving up the ghost. You all helped start a community of friends with your blog’s and Podcast. And yes I am saying you all, as in you, Michael, and Brent. There are othere’s, but you 3 stick out the most. You all put a foundation down for the rest of us. I want to thank you, for all you have done, and hope that you have inspired new Blog-a-star’s.

Whoa, whoa. WHOA. You can’t -quit-. Break, sure, but you’ve been my inspiration to try to both blog and podcast in the first place! I’m too young to have one of my role models torn from me!
I still haven’t even found my stride yet!
