I had a chance to sit down with the Wizard101 folks while at AGC. If you haven’t had the chance to see the video interview yet, go here and watch it. I must say that the KingsIsle people are really super to chat with and I want to thank James, Fred, Alison and Fernando for sitting down with us.

i think it should be 300 gold for a 24 hour rental the 500 gold for a 7 day rental and 1500 gold for permenent use. that way it would be pretty cheap and it would be a good deal .

i think they should be very expencive around 100k for perm use and 10k for a day around 50k for a week
in terms of crowns about 15000 for perm.

they should be like 20K to own it with gold but 15K in crowns to own it for the rentals the day one they should be 500and the week rental should be 7k

For a one-day use it should be about 1,000 and a week should be 7,000. Then the perm. should be about 12,000 or more(but def. NOT 100k)

When you all are taking about the price of these mounts Please remember that most of the poeple playing this game are kids. Their parrnets have to pay for all this for them and some of them are single parents too. So keep this in mind when pricing things for this game and also keep in mind the economy at this time also. I know as a parent that most parents would like nothing more than to give their kid everything they want, but I also know I would rather buy food when I have to than something that is more than it is worth for a game to please them. Therefore I think they should be fairly cheap. I play this game almost everyday and I am an adult, but I have a son that will play when he is old enough to. I love the game and I am hoping that they add more worlds and servers (to handle the worlds with out the lag) to this game to keep it going for a long long time.

@Chris Dragonrider: So what is the point of your scolding? Are you afraid somebody from Wizard 101 might raise the price of a mount because of a comment left on a blog?
Personally, I don’t play the game and only threw out the $10 number because that seemed to be the breaking point for Darren when it came to the horse in Runes of Magic.

I see every one talking about the price for the rides.I have one seen one that was a good mention about the game. This is a game for kids and those that are young at heart ,so yes the price should be set at a rang where anyone can buy there mounts.The is over 5 milliione players on Wizzard and most of them are of the teenager and young childern.Me I am a returning Irqie vetrain and play this game for relife.The kids play it for fun and do not have that much money and like a nother writer wrote some of them come from single parient families. So please keep the price at a rang to where every one can get them.

I have enjoyed Wizard101 that there is four members in our family that plays. We all love and can not wait until the mounts come out.

@wilhelm2451- I didnt see him as critisizing anyone, just stressing the point that this IS just a game, so people in the situation of have kids and not having money to waist on a game that you cant play again in a year if you dont have 70 bucks. I totally understand where chris is coming from because i myself am a mother, and my kids both play this game… they are still a little to young to actually pay money for them to play but i know that i will be trying to help them purchus a mount with GOLD. But if it is outradiously expensive like the earth waker is (40,000) than that will surly be a task since they cant leave wizard city. But putting these mounts at an exceptible price would surly have parents cheering for Kings Isle. I have been apart of this game since the very begining and i want to continue to be a member, but the prices that you have to pay with real money can get alittle upsetting. Maybe mounts can be auctioned as well. That might even make it cheaper. Well thats all i have to say on that. CANT WAIT FOR MOUNTS…….

Off topic alittle here but who thinks that have a sort of salon in the shopping distrect would be a good idea??? I hate my hair with a pation now (a year later) and i am dieing to change it. And i really think that we should be able to have an adult body if you are an adult. That way you can see who is a child and adult. IDK it is just an idea
but for real about the salon, change your hair style and color….. Lets get this plan into action people

I’m very excited for the upcoming mounts it says that you have to be level 40+ to ride one so I’m guessing there gonna be expensive. I’m very happy to be level 45. This game rocks and has influenced me to do better in Spelling and in English. If anyone ever needs help find me on Wizard101 I am more then happy to help you with anything. I also hear there gonna be dragon mounts and cat mounts so were just gonna see what happens in a week from now

If your going to say that your an “irqie vetrain” at least learn to spell, there’s no way that’s a typo it’s just too horrible. I like the 5k for a day 15k for a week and 20k for permanent because i have two grands and until your lvl 33+ money is hard to gather unless you have high lvl friends to run high lvl dungeons with you.

Everyone! The mounts will be worth crowns not gold! You will need to spend real money to buy crowns for those who are new unless they make a contest and give some mounts away. Any questions ask me.

Wow. who would actually pay for 15000 crowns. it just a game, i think people that spend alot of money on games are idiots. Nitesbro’s idea it a heck of alot better. but for u guys that are idiots and pay for the game and buy stuff in it then they should make to different kinds of mounts: gold mounts and crown mounts. That way for those that done have money to spend of games ( me ) or for those that just dont want to spend money on games, they can get a mount even if it there is only 1 mount and its a crappy mount. at least they will have a mount. and then u can have as many as u want for people that can afford/choose to pay for one.

i think they should add a special dragonspyre wand that comes in all different schools and it would have like a ice,storm,balance,death,life,fire(which it would be a regular one)and myth types of dragon on top

Not quite sure how these are gonna work, where exactly will you ride them. Horses running through grizzleheim might work, but can you imagine, dozens of horses running through marley or krock….? it is easy enough to get caught in fights on foot much less trying to steer a broom or horse. I like the dragon best but, just can’t picture how this will work and if you are going to fight while mounted or will you have to dismount. I love wizard…and the thought of improving the game is great…would like to see there be advancement beyond level 50….

We should be happy to have this game to enjoy, not fighting over prices. We can enjoy adults, teens and kids in this great game. But I have to say like someone mentioned before, that it should be two types of mounts, one you can buy with gold and one type you can buy with crowns like other items in the game. That way everyone is happy and have the opportunity to purchase it. I can’t wait to see this mounts in the game and I hope to see more wonderful things in it soon! ^_^

ok people i just want to say that mounts should be 40k for like very good rare mounts and the normal ok mount should be like 20k and the week on should be like 2k and the 1day should be like 500gp something like that and i just also want to say that there will be making new homes as well like death homes and life home like what ever class you are you can get that witch is sweet the death home is going to pwn lvl 50 life and death and balance here =P GL geting money people

yea they got it i think a week ago on this live game its SO COOL!!! i have a perment broom and i see alot of people farting around on their mounts. it can get destracting. but anyways thats all for now!
